The Resilient Regions Policy Dashboard brings together demographic analysis, migration studies and regional development research in an accessible, interactive format, providing policy examples from across Europe on a range of themes.

Built for regional and local policymakers, planners, researchers and changemakers, it combines novel data and future projections with human stories to help users:

  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses in their regional development;
  • See which migration trends a region will face in the near future;
  • Learn from regions that are coping with or reversing brain drain

Through the dashboard, users can explore why people move and where to, anticipate demographic risk and opportunity for their region, and compare their region with similar ones in Europe. They can also discover policy responses adopted elsewhere; target interventions that support attraction, retention and return; and help strengthen regional resilience in the face of population change.

Funded by Horizon Europe, PREMIUM_EU set out to understand how migration shapes the future of Europe's vulnerable regions and to offer place-based policy inspiration for counteracting depopulation and regional decline.
