RURALIZATION: Creating New Opportunities in Rural Areas (online course)
Delft University of Technology presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about rural development: the launch of the MOOC (massive open online courses) "RURALIZATION: Creating New Opportunities in Rural Areas."
This 6-week course, conducted in English, aims to share knowledge on how to revitalise rural communities and create a brighter future for rural areas. Participants will gain valuable insights into addressing challenges, harnessing international trends, and formulating effective strategies for rural development.
This course targets in particular (young) professionals involved in rural development policy and strategy design. By enrolling, students will develop the skills to identify key challenges and trends in rural areas, analyse population dynamics and key issues such as access to employment, services, and land, discuss innovative practices of rural development, determine the development potential of specific rural regions, and propose region-specific strategies for rural development.
