The guide, available in both Spanish and English, intends to support authorities in incorporating a rural angle when designing, implementing and reviewing policies and regulations. It consists of six steps and a checklist through which to assess policies’ potential impact on rural areas and ways to address these.
The guide was developed on the basis of the various international experiences and good practices collected in a recent REDR publication ‘Ruralising the policies that affect rural areas’ (also available in Spanish and English).
