The NEB Prizes have a priority focus on housing affordability. Successful initiatives can involve the physical transformation and regeneration of territories and places, including small villages, rural areas, shrinking cities or places that welcome refugees or aspire to be accessible to all.
The NEB boost for small municipalities will reward municipalities in rural settings or with a population below 20 000 inhabitants. This new initiative will provide support to small players that want to develop inclusive, sustainable and beautiful projects by helping them to overcome early barriers.
The competition is open to projects and concepts implemented in the EU, Western Balkans and Ukraine. A total of 22 NEB Prize winners and 20 NEB small municipalities will be selected to receive awards of up to EUR 30 000.
