Celebrating excellence in Rural Development: vote for Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards 2023 by 1st December

The Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards (ARIA) 2023 are here, celebrating CAP-funded projects that are revolutionising agriculture and rural areas through lifelong learning, innovation, and competitiveness. Find out more about the 24 finalists, cast your vote by 1st December.

Since its inception in 2019, Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards (ARIA) has been an advocate for the most inspiring rural development initiatives. This year, 24 outstanding projects have been carefully selected under four distinct thematic categories, each aligned with the overarching goals of the CAP. These projects represent the best of the best, embodying the spirit of progress, resilience, and sustainability. On 4 December, during the ARIA ceremony (hybrid event in Brussels and online), the jury will unveil the winners, including one from the popular vote.

Your chance to make a difference: the popular vote
One of the most exciting aspects of ARIA is the popular vote. This is where you, the public, get to have your say. You can explore these remarkable projects, discover their stories, and cast your vote for your favourite. It's your chance to champion the initiatives that resonate with you the most.

Categories that define excellence

The projects are divided into four thematic categories:

  • Smart & Competitive Agriculture: These initiatives are at the forefront of creating a smart, competitive, and resilient agricultural sector that ensures long-term food security.
  • Environmental Protection: In this category, projects are dedicated to strengthening environmental protection, fostering biodiversity, combatting climate change, demonstrating sustainability, and contributing to the green recovery.
  • Socio-Economic Fabric of Rural Areas: CAP-funded projects in this category focus on fortifying the socio-economic resilience of rural Europe. They address social aspects innovatively, enhance digitalisation in rural areas, promote inclusivity, and offer support to rural entrepreneurs and businesses.
  • Rural Stakeholders' Skills: These projects are all about lifelong learning. They empower individuals and companies to contribute to green and digital transitions, support innovation, and enhance competitiveness.
