Assessment of CAP Strategic Plans’ delivery on CAP objectives
A recent report by the European Commission assesses the 2023-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plans in their delivery on CAP objectives.
The report highlights the key role of LEADER in pursuing vibrant rural areas and the need for other EU policies, beyond the CAP, to contribute to rural development in order to fully address socio-economic needs in rural areas.
The study builds on a previous assessment of the Strategic Plans’ contribution to the long-term vision for rural areas, published in September ahead of the High-level Rural Policy Forum on ‘Shaping the future of rural areas’.
