This Rural Pact Policy Briefing provides practical guidance on how to develop integrated approaches to rural development within the proposed National and Regional Partnership Plans (NRPPs) for 2028-2034.
Addressed to national, regional and local authorities, civil society organisations and other rural stakeholders, it outlines key steps for developing integrated rural strategies, engaging stakeholders and coordinating support across policy areas and funding instruments. It also presents possible ways to structure rural support within NRPPs, alongside examples of measures and initiatives from across the EU.
Please note that this is a draft version of the Policy Briefing based on the European Commission's original legislative proposal. The final publication will be made available shortly, with translations into all official EU languages to follow in the coming months.
