STRAT-Board: a new tool to explore Europe’s Integrated Territorial Strategies

Explore the interactive STRAT-Board platform for a visual overview of integrated territorial strategies across Europe. The tool maps out strategies supported under cohesion policy funds during both the 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 programming periods, offering valuable insights for rural, regional, and urban development.

Developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in collaboration with DG REGIO, STRAT-Board allows users to explore strategies according to multiple criteria, including territorial delivery mechanisms, population size, geographic focus, policy objectives, and funding type. This makes it easier for local and regional authorities, social economy actors, and community stakeholders to understand which approaches have been implemented, and to identify examples and best practices that can inform their own initiatives.

Community-led Local Development (CLLD) strategies featured in the database are limited to those that have received funding under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).

Data collection remains open until December 2025, enabling managing authorities and other stakeholders to submit new or updated strategies via jrc-rurbadev@ec.europa.eu. A detailed methodology of the data collection is available in the methodological note.
