Rural tourism for resilient regions: webinar highlights report available online

The event highlighted the need to embed tourism within broader rural development strategies, based on strengthened skills and capacities across the rural tourism value chain, improved digital and physical infrastructure, and enhanced data systems. Discussions called for flexible, long-term funding aligned with local priorities, reduced bureaucracy, and locally managed governance structures to unlock entrepreneurship and coherence in rural tourism offers.
