New European Bauhaus (NEB) call: EUR 118.4 million available under Horizon Europe

The call seeks to fund projects that connect sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics – particularly in built and living environments. With a strong focus on community-level transformation, this call offers opportunities for rural municipalities, local actors, and innovation hubs – apply by 12 November 2025.

The call is structured around three key themes (‘destinations’): green transformation and democracy; circular and regenerative approaches; and innovative funding and business models, including both demonstration projects and research actions. Rural areas could benefit from projects promoting place-based regeneration, local participation, and design solutions that reflect rural realities.

The European Commission encourages proposals that engage communities in shaping their living environments, including those in rural and peripheral areas, to help deliver on the goals of the European Green Deal and the NEB.

The call is part of the research and innovation component of the New European Bauhaus Facility (2025–2027) which supports projects within the Horizon Europe framework to integrate sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics into local development.
