Meet the rural winners of the 2024 New European Bauhaus Prizes

The laureates in the 2024 edition of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Prizes were announced on 12 April at an award ceremony in Brussels – discover the winning projects dealing with rural topics.
The NEB Prizes recognise projects contributing to a more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future – get inspired, watch short videos on the rural winners:
- Făget forest park - Cluj's green lung (Romania): co-design and pilot of an integrated multi-use management and operational plan for the park – winner in the ‘reconnecting with nature’ category;
- Cultivating companionship (Germany): exploring the potential of a cornfield through the development of new bio-based materials – winner in the ‘reconnecting with nature’ category;
- Co-llection (Greece): co-creation of a knowledge platform by international artists and local communities to address the erosion of rural narratives – winner in the ‘regaining a sense of belonging’ category;
- The Station (Belgium): building a prototype of an outdoor workspace to transform local plants into food or materials – winner in the ‘circular industrial ecosystem and life cycle thinking’ category.
