Under the ‘Our Rural Future’ strategy, Ireland’s national policy for rural development 2021-2025, the Local Enhancement Programme provides capital supports that are essential for many small community groups and organisations.

Community organisations receive funding for projects on digital upgrades, facility renovations, outdoor community spaces, and operational costs, thus ensuring grassroots sustainability and capacity to serve rural residents.

The Local Enhancement Programme is managed by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
