This year’s territorial peer review will focus on demographic change and touch on a range of aspects, such as governance, funding, and stakeholder involvement (application form for peer reviewers). The peer review is an in-person, two-day workshop which will take place on 24-25 September in Heraklion, Greece.
The workshop will address questions on ways in which the current strategies reflect the demographic transition; depopulation-related challenges; and key drivers for successful adaptation to demographic transition.
The peer review process will allow participants to:
- Get involved in first-hand evaluation exercise and use the peer review outcomes to improve their strategies;
- Discuss common issues related to ongoing work on integrated territorial development strategies, such as Integrated Territorial Investments (ITIs) and Community-led Local Development (CLLD);
- Network with peers, European Commission staff, and experts.
