Guide to EU Funding: unlocking opportunities for projects
The European Parliamentary Research Service has published the guide to EU funding, edition 2023. It is designed to help regional and local authorities, NGOs, businesses, professionals, and citizens access funding for their projects.
The guide covers financing under the EU's 2021-2027 budget, including the Next Generation EU temporary instrument for post-pandemic recovery. It presents various EU funds in a clear and concise manner, accompanied by brief descriptions of the opportunities they offer for rural areas, such as the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) which primarily finances direct payments to farmers and measures to regulate agricultural markets; and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which co-finances the rural development programmes of the EU Member States.
To make research easier, the guide organises funding themes into subsections and provides hyperlinks to access funding information sources. As funding calls are regularly published, staying informed about opportunities on national and EU sites is crucial.
We hope this guide will introduce you to the array of EU funding opportunities, empowering you to apply for support in implementing projects that contribute to your work or community. To explore the various funding sources and get started on your funding journey, read the full publication here.
