Financial and capacity-building support for energy communities across Europe – apply by 30 September
The European Energy Communities Facility has launched its first call for proposals, inviting emerging energy communities to apply for a lump sum grant of EUR 45 000 to develop business plans for renewable energy projects. Apply by 30 September 2025.

In addition to the financial grants, selected energy communities will benefit from capacity building and peer-to-peer exchange to overcome challenges associated with the start-up phase of a project and to maximise impact. The call is launched and managed by the LIFE-funded European Energy Communities Facility project.
Throughout its duration, the Facility will distribute a total of EUR 7 million to at least 140 energy communities – including in rural areas – to initiatives from all EU Member States, Iceland and Ukraine.
