Enhancing stakeholder involvement in EU Bioeconomy Policy: new Commission report

The report, published by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, identifies key gaps and opportunities for stakeholder involvement in EU bioeconomy policy. It proposes seven recommendations to be addressed as a crucial step in shaping a sustainable and circular economy.

The publication outlines the current state of the stakeholder landscape, highlighting the degree of engagement, as well as related best practices and lessons learned across various initiatives.

The study recommends actions – such as building a European network of bioeconomy stakeholders, developing a more structured engagement approach, and increasing young people’s participation – to make the EU bioeconomy policy more inclusive, effective, and responsive to all needs.
