The call for proposals is open to different types of organisations and groups, provided they are involved in activities within a citizen energy project. Eligible entities and organisations include citizen energy communities or renewable energy communities, groups of citizens, small enterprises, small non-governmental or non-profit organisations and local public authorities.

Applicants are invited to complete an online form in any of the 24 official EU languages by 16 January. A second call for proposals is expected in June 2026.

All beneficiaries will have the opportunity to participate in a twinning programme which fosters peer-to-peer learning by linking projects across countries and stages of development. This will involve regular exchange, joint activities and expert-facilitated discussions.

The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH) is a European Commission initiative designed to promote a bottom-up approach to the energy transition across the EU in order to enhance citizen participation and strengthen the social dimension of the Energy Union
