Developed by the European Commission’s Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS), this results pack contains brief overviews of the projects, available in six EU languages, and promotional materials. The resources examine the potential of cultural tourism for regenerating and valorising cultural heritage and empowering local communities by creating sustainable jobs and opportunities for entrepreneurial activity.

The projects cover a range of topics, such as a circular tourism approach in rural and remote areas; methodology enabling communities to develop sustainable tourism based on local heritage; platform allowing travellers along Europe’s historic pilgrimage routes to customise travel itineraries.

The results pack is intended to support policymakers in better understanding cultural tourism, and developing evidence-based policy options. It provides insight into the latest research results to help cultural tourism practitioners to fine-tune their activities and test new tools and solutions developed by the projects.
