The Forest Bioeconomy Investment Accelerator, a joint initiative of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group, the European Forest Institute (EFI) and EFI Bioregions, is a forum which brings together project developers and investment experts to discuss investment readiness and financing pathways.

Its event on 25 November will offer approximately 10 projects the opportunity to pitch to the EIB Group and other investment and technical experts, receive direct and personalised feedback, gain insights into EIB eligibility criteria and financing instruments, and connect with other innovators, policymakers, researchers and financiers.

The accelerator is targeted at forest and bioeconomy projects that have undergone the testing and piloting phase and which introduce innovative solutions, technologies, business models or delivery approaches in the areas of circular forest bioeconomy; sustainable forest management, climate adaptation and forest restoration, and forest project aggregation and investment platforms.

Eligible applicants include legal entities operating in one or more EU Member States working in the forest and wider bioeconomy value chains, including SMEs, start-ups, project developers, public authorities, regional development agencies and green investment bodies.

Applications must be submitted through the online form by 12 June 2026
