The Rural Voices webinar series connects rural research, policy and practice to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping rural regions. The series is organised jointly by the University of Galway and Atlantic Technological University with support from the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
The third session will feature a presentation on enabling Rural Pact implementation in Member States. It will explore some of the key ingredients needed to make the Rural Pact happen in practice, including political commitment, coordination across policies and levels of governance, meaningful involvement of rural stakeholders, and mechanisms to translate shared rural priorities into concrete action.
The presentation will also connect these experiences with wider EU policy developments and current discussions on the future of rural policies, drawing on key messages from the High-level Rural Policy Forum in Naas.
