Rural Pact Coordination Group first meeting
The Rural Pact Coordination Group is set up to steer the development of the Rural Pact. It has a mandate of three years. The inaugural meeting of the Rural Pact Coordination Group marked a significant milestone in advancing the goals of the Rural Vision. The 30 members of the group discussed which actions to take to support the three objectives of the Rural Pact and how they were willing to work together.

The objectives of the 1st meeting of the Rural Pact Coordination Group were:
- To welcome Rural Pact Coordination Group members;
- To present the mandate and governance structure (including discussing the appointment of the Chair, and the Terms of Reference and the Rules of Procedure), explain the role of the Coordination Group members and what is expected from them;
- To present and discuss the work programme and main deliverables of the Coordination Group;
- To present the activities by the Rural Pact Support Office that will be of assistance to the Coordination Group.
