The session, organised by the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform, will explore how rural regions can better connect labour needs with the skills and potential of third-country nationals, from attraction and recruitment to workplace integration and long-term settlement.
The event will look at the role of employers, public authorities, educational institutions, civil society and local communities in creating supportive local ecosystems where newcomers can both work and build a life.
Drawing on experiences from Interreg Europe projects, the discussion will explore practical approaches to making rural employment more accessible, supporting employers in international recruitment, strengthening workplace and community integration, and creating the conditions for third-country nationals to stay and contribute to rural communities.
