The Policy Seminar will explore three key areas in social security in agriculture:

Policy options: Policymakers and stakeholders will provide an overview of current initiatives, discuss potential policy options and identify actionable strategies to enhance working conditions in agriculture.

Farmers’ needs: Drawing upon research on occupational safety and health needs of farmers and farm workers, experts will examine how social safety nets can effectively support these needs, providing a foundation for the discussions to follow.

EU and international approaches: Participants will explore diverse strategies employed across EU member states and internationally. These perspectives will highlight the differences in approaches to supporting OSH in the agricultural sector.
