BCO Network Annual Conference 2023

The Conference, reserved solely for National and Regional Broadband Competence Offices (BCOs) aimed to foster meaningful exchanges and the sharing of good practices among BCOs and reflect on the challenges, expectations, need for support and barriers to broadband deployment.

Together with high level representatives from the European Commission and experts, the Conference delved into Rural Connectivity, explored funding options for the Digital Decade Connectivity Gap, and provided updates on the Gigabit Infrastructure Act. To conclude the Conference, we  engaged in a detailed discussion on Critical Infrastructure protection for submarine cables. 

The Rural Pact Support Office supported this event through the participation of Pascale Van Doren (Team Leader) in the Panel 'Challenges to Rural Connectivity: What are rural stakeholders doing to accelerate rural connectivity? How can BCOs support these grass root initiatives'.
