Homelessness and affordability: Sharing what works, and the 2025 World Habitat Awards ceremony

The conference will bring together people to discuss transformative solutions to end homelessness. The day will conclude with a ceremony to celebrate the 2025 World Habitat Awards winners.

Equitable and sustainable rural development: the role of the clean industrial deal

The event is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week and will bring solutions for sustainable and equitable rural development forward. It will emphasise the importance of integrating social, economic, and environmental considerations and drawing upon the developments of the four initiatives RENOVERTY, RURENER, RURALITIES and JUST PEPP.

Policy Lab

Policy Lab ‘Rural proofing: looking at policies through the rural lens’

This Policy Action Lab, organised by the Rural Pact Support Office, explored measures that can be taken to efficiently implement the rural proofing mechanism at EU, national and regional levels. It enabled peer exchange and reflection as well as developed proposals and recommendations for policymakers.

Affordable and energy-efficient homes for all: breaking barriers to affordable energy retrofits for vulnerable households

The policy session is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week. It will explore critical barriers and actionable solutions to make energy retrofits affordable and accessible for vulnerable households, setting the stage for the operationalisation of new solutions.

Latvian Rural Communities Parliament

The event, organised by the Latvian Rural Forum, will focus on discussions and an exchange of experiences on rural policy implemented in Latvia by rural communities themselves and various practices and initiatives that promote self-determination, sustainability, efficient use of resources and talents.

European Sustainable Energy Week 2025

The European Sustainable Energy Week, organised by the European Commission, will gather leading clean energy community voices along with high-level speakers for three days of exchange, collaboration, and discovery.

Exploring innovative responses to rural demographic challenges

The first RUSTIK Regional Dissemination Workshop, titled 'Responding to rural demographic challenges', will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange insights on the unique challenges and opportunities rural areas face regarding demographic shifts.

Rural Pact Coordination Group: fifth meeting

The fifth meeting of the Rural Pact Coordination Group (RPCG) informed members of the policy and inter-institutional landscape for rural areas and communities and discussed ways of maximising the impact of the RPCG Declaration. It exchanged on ways of further strengthening the Rural Pact at national and regional levels, and updated on upcoming Rural Pact events, particularly the Conference.
