Description
We commit to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels, in order to guarantee universal access to healthcare and LTC, but also to social services in rural areas. To that end, we will aim at achieving person-centred and integrated care, with a broad understanding of health and well-being, tackling all determinants.

Expected Outcomes
- Organise exchanges of best practices between EU health insurance funds to inspire collaboration at national level to tackle medical deserts in rural areas and to achieve better integrated care and services.
- Organise a series of Expert Talks (9 February 2023, 20 April 2023 and 22 September 2023) on the topic of the provision of non residential-care, covering aspects such as access, sustainability and quality, and taking into account the specific challenges faced by rural areas.
- Develop, by end of 2023, on basis of those talks, a series of recommendations on the provision of non residential-care, that will also be beneficial for tackling the issue of access to care in rural areas.
