Rural Pact Coordination Group: fifth meeting

The fifth meeting of the Rural Pact Coordination Group (RPCG) will inform members of the policy and inter-institutional landscape for rural areas and communities and discuss ways of maximising the impact of the RPCG Declaration. It will exchange on ways of further strengthening the Rural Pact at national and regional levels, and update on upcoming Rural Pact events, particularly the Conference.

The policy session is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week. It will explore critical barriers and actionable solutions to make energy retrofits affordable and accessible for vulnerable households, setting the stage for the operationalisation of new solutions.

This Policy Action Lab, organised by the Rural Pact Support Office, will explore measures that can be taken to efficiently implement the rural proofing mechanism at EU, national and regional levels. It will enable peer exchange and reflection as well as develop proposals and recommendations for policymakers.

Equitable and sustainable rural development: the role of the clean industrial deal

The event is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week and will bring solutions for sustainable and equitable rural development forward. It will emphasise the importance of integrating social, economic, and environmental considerations and drawing upon the developments of the four initiatives RENOVERTY, RURENER, RURALITIES and JUST PEPP.
