This Conference will overview the mid-term results of the EU-funded project EC4RURAL and explore the pivotal role of rural energy communities in achieving Europe’s climate goals.
The event will facilitate knowledge exchange between scientists and practitioners, and strengthen networks between stakeholders in the field of rural energy transitions. It will include sessions on the importance of rural energy communities, local leadership and territorial innovation, designing inclusive energy communities, as well as research and innovation.
EC4RURAL is a project funded under the LIFE programme, which works to deepen and transform the relationship between local and regional authorities and rural communities, contributing to Europe’s clean energy transition through active and fair participation.
