The event will mark the launch of the policy brief on farmer mental health by the EU-funded SafeHabitus project, presenting ten key recommendations to enhance mental health support for farmers and farm workers across the EU.
SafeHabitus is a project funded by Horizon Europe, which aims to strengthen Farm Health and Safety Knowledge Innovation Systems and support the EU transition to social sustainability in farming.
Participants will discuss key recommendations for a coherent and cross-sectoral approach to mental health in farming that connects agricultural, social and health policies at EU and Member State levels.
Hosted by MEP Mary Walsh, the event will bring together policymakers, researchers, and farming representatives.
