This online information session is being organised by the Rural Pact Support Office to help rural stakeholders better understand the process of the Call for Evidence on the 'Right to Stay' Strategy, clarify practical questions, and support them in preparing meaningful contributions.
On 6 May, Executive Vice-President for Cohesion and Reforms, Raffaele Fitto, announced the launch of the Call for Evidence to support the preparation of the future strategy on the 'Right to Stay', focusing on regions and territories. The initiative aims to identify the key challenges faced by communities across Europe, as well as the support needed to help them grow, thrive and remain attractive places to live and work. The strategy will:
-
showcase EU policies, programmes and initiatives that help ensure the right to stay;
-
highlight examples of regional and local solutions;
-
provide suggestions on how to make EU regions and territories more attractive and competitive.
The Call for Evidence will remain open until 5 June 2026 and is available in all EU languages. It seeks input from citizens and stakeholders across the EU to help further develop and refine the initiative. The participation of rural stakeholders in this process is particularly important to ensure that the future strategy reflects the realities, needs and aspirations of rural communities and territories.
This online information session is being organised by the Rural Pact Support Office to help rural stakeholders better understand the Call for Evidence process, clarify practical questions, and support them in preparing meaningful contributions to the Call for Evidence.
