The webinar, organised by the European Broadband Competence Offices (BCO) Network, will showcase two innovative projects that plan to bridge the digital and social divide in rural areas.
The session will present insights from the projects ERMES (Italy) and FTTH Gigabit Access Network deployment in ultra-rural areas in Castilla Y Leon (Spain), which have been nominated for Category 2 at the EDC Awards “Champions in Addressing the Digital Divide in Rural and Remote Areas”.
The webinar will outline their long-term social impact and value as inspiring examples for others. It will also explore how technological challenges in these regions often overlap with social ones.
