The GRASS CEILING MOOC offers a free online learning experience designed to empower rural women and strengthen their role in driving socio-ecological innovation across Europe.

Through a combination of theory, case studies, and practical tools, the course helps participants understand and support women-led innovation in rural and agricultural contexts. Each module includes learning objectives, expert lectures, inspiring examples, self-assessment quizzes, and additional resources for deeper exploration.

The MOOC is open to everyone: from farmers, policymakers, and researchers to members of cooperatives and rural communities.

Expected Outcomes

Since its launch, the GRASS CEILING MOOC has become a key legacy of the project, providing open and accessible training on gender equality in rural and agricultural innovation systems. Structured into five modules, the course brings together expert insights, real-life examples and practical tools to help participants better understand and support women-led innovation. Early participants have already begun completing the course and receiving certificates of completion, marking an important milestone in making the project’s knowledge and lessons available to a wider community of farmers, researchers, policymakers and rural stakeholders across Europe.
