RURALIZATION Final Conference
The RURALIZATION consortium is pleased to announce the final conference of the project, which will be held on 20 April 2023 in Brussels. Hosted by the European Committee of the Regions, this onsite meeting with experts and stakeholders will provide a space for presenting the main outputs of the project, considering all the lessons learned throughout the four years of the project.

The European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions launch on 28 March the High Level Event of the Partnerships for Regional Innovation (PRI) “From playbook to implementation” as a bridge between smart specialisation and other EU policies to promote innovation-driven territorial transformation.

EESC thematic debate on the Rural Pact #1: renewable energies in rural areas
In line with its commitments to the Rural Pact, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), will organise a thematic debate on renewable energies in rural areas during the next meeting of its Section for Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment (NAT Section) planned on Thursday 9 March (11:00 -12:30).

The European Startup Village Forum
This 2023 edition of the Forum will discuss the main elements and enabling conditions of the Startup Village concept through a genuine science-for-policy interaction, supporting the identification and analysis of triggering factors for innovation and startup creation in rural areas.

Conference on bioeconomy
In June 2022, the Commission presented its progress report on the implementation of EU Bioeconomy Strategy. During this conference, the discussions on policies and actions to take towards a sustainable, biobased society with resource-efficient value chains will be continued.
