Objective 2
structure and enable collaboration and mutual learning between Pact members -
Objective 3
encourage and monitor voluntary commitment for action by Rural Pact community members
Description
The general objective is the creation of an eminently practical training programme that allows the enhancement of this profession and the transfer of knowledge for extensive grazing aimed at generational replacement.
FUNDACIÓN COOPRADO seeks with this initiative to promote the innovation and professionalisation of this activity which, in certain territories, contributes to the creation of employment and the conservation of the environment and rural culture.
It is a training programme that takes place over approximately 5 months, with 615 hours of theoretical-practical training and which includes the necessary accreditations to obtain the following qualifications and cards:
- Incorporation into the agricultural company.
- Animal Welfare Card for transporters and livestock farmers.
- Basic livestock biocides licence.
- Agricultural Pesticides Licence (basic and qualified level).
Perhaps one of the great values of this School is its practical training, carried out by the Shepherds-tutors of the Tajo-Salor-Almonte territory, who welcome the students to their farms to carry out the practical training of the School.
The Shepherds' School is an eminently collaborative project that brings together entities that work in favour of the profession, the maintenance of the rural environment and the preservation of the environment.
