Harnessing digitalisation for sustainable agriculture and resilient rural communities: new EESC study

A newly published study by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) explores digitalisation opportunities and challenges for reducing GHG emissions from agriculture. It reveals that while digital tools can enhance sustainable practices, they transform rural labour markets, creating demand for new digital skills, but also displacing low-skilled jobs.

New online course on gender equality in rural and agricultural innovation systems

The EU-funded GRASS CEILING project has launched a massive open online course (MOOC) to support women-led innovation in rural Europe. The course combines theory, practical examples and case studies to help learners understand, support and promote women-led socio-ecological innovations.
