amplify the voice of rural areas to bring them higher on the political agenda
  • Objective 2

structure and enable collaboration and mutual learning between Pact members
Description

The adoption of open source software in agriculture can improve productivity, cooperation and innovation in rural areas. This action involves the creation of a shared digital framework that allows agricultural businesses to collaborate for more efficient crop management.

This project would enable organisations to digitally store, test and monitor agricultural production data, helping to reduce management errors and related costs. The shared initiative would strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange between agricultural businesses.

Furthermore, the action would help raise public awareness of the importance of digital tools in agriculture, organising dedicated meetings with farmers. The project is also open to discussion with members of the Rural Pact.

The action would contribute to the objectives of the Rural Pact by promoting digital inclusion in rural areas.
