Discover the Rural Pact good practice on the ‘WEGREEN’ project and explore the project website for a collection of training materials, including:
- an analytical report on rural women’s green social entrepreneurship in Cyprus, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, and the EU level;
- a set of good practices;
- an e-learning platform to build educators’ capacities;
- guidelines for trainers, covering green, digital, entrepreneurial, social, and rural women’s skills;
- a guide for stakeholders identifying challenges and solutions, and practical policy interventions to support social economy enterprises led by rural women;
- handouts and infographics available in five languages.
The project held its final event in Brussels, Belgium on 14-15 February 2024 highlighting that:
- rural women are facing a ‘triple divide’: gender, rural and digital;
- infrastructural support and more holistic approaches are needed to ensure long-term care for the elderly and early child care, which are essential to enable women to participate in the local economy;
- social farming and social and green procurement represent important opportunities for rural women.
