The EU-funded MOVING project has launched a policy roadmap and a set of policy briefs intended to advance the sustainability and resilience of Europe’s mountain regions.

The roadmap sets out a strategic framework including 30 policy recommendations to guide policymakers, public authorities, civil society organisations, and researchers in creating a more favourable policy environment. It addresses key aspects such as territorial governance, ecological & social balance, collaboration, skills & innovation, livelihoods, product quality, sustainable resource use, and adaptability to change, while offering strategic interventions to drive positive change within mountain socio-ecological systems.
A set of 51 new policy briefs overviews value chains in 23 mountain regions across Europe providing recommendations to enhance resilience. The aim is to create a collaborative and structured approach, while recognising the diverse needs of mountain regions across Europe.
