The European Commission’s Just Transition Platform (JTP) is running three calls for technical assistance, advisory support and peer-to-peer exchange. Apply by 20 February 2026 to support the implementation of Territorial Just Transition Plans contributing to Europe’s fair and inclusive transition towards a climate-neutral economy.

Get technical assistance
The JTP Groundwork programme delivers tailored and needs-based capacity building and advisory support to stakeholders from eligible territories (scroll to map at the bottom of the page) in the implementation of their Territorial Just Transition Plans (TJTP).
These Plans are prepared by EU Member States and outline challenges, development needs, and objectives of each territory to enable access to funding from the EU’s Just Transition Mechanism.
The call is open to all actors with a relevant role in the implementation of approved TJTPs. Apply by 20 February via the dedicated application form.
Join the pool of experts
JTPeers Experts is a database of professionals working on the just transition across Europe. Connect with experts in areas such as green economic diversification, job creation, sustainable energy systems. Listed experts can be contacted for guidance and assistance regarding the implementation of just transition projects.
Interested professionals, researchers and practitioners can apply to join the database via the application form by 20 February.
Benefit from peer exchange and support
JTP Exchange is a peer-to-peer exchange programme that organises in-person and online region-to-region and expert-to-region exchanges between stakeholders from eligible territories and/or just transition experts from the JTPeers database. Relevant stakeholders include: local, regional, or national public authorities; civil society actors; agencies working on development, innovation, or energy; research organisations; and businesses.
This call is open to experienced institutions and organisations working towards TJTP implementation. Apply individually or jointly with up to three eligible regions by 20 February.
What is the Just Transition Platform?
The Platform assists Member States and regions in unlocking the financial support available through the Just Transition Mechanism. It spotlights funding opportunities, relevant regulatory updates and sector specific initiatives, and fosters the exchange of best practices through physical and virtual gatherings.
