Organised by the Rural Pact Support Office, this Policy Lab discussed ways of improving the availability of information on rural policy tools and funding streams, without increasing the administrative burden. It highlighted the need for clear definitions of rural areas in strategic frameworks, prioritisation of funds for remote regions, and detailed analyses of fund allocation.
The event showcased the German and Hungarian national rural strategies, and various EU funding streams relevant for rural areas, including under the European Social Fund (ESF+) and the European Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF).
