Empowering rural areas through cooperative and circular business models

The BRILIAN project works between 2023 and 2027 to facilitate a transition to bio-based economies in rural areas by integrating primary producers into the supply chain, aligning with the Common Agricultural Policy, the Green Deal, and the European Bioeconomy Strategy.

This Horizon Europe project will support the adoption of sustainable and cooperative business models in rural areas, contributing to enhance rural development, biodiversity preservation and climate neutrality, while easing in the transition towards bio-based economies. BRILIAN will set up three cooperative pilots – in Italy, Spain and Denmark – working to validate ten bio-based value chains using diverse raw materials to produce a range of bio-products.

Look out for BRILIAN’s upcoming resources, including a practical toolkit, info materials, trainings, and publications.
