Climate change in mountain areas

A new study produced by Euromontana and commissioned by the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT) analyses policies and practices of climate adaptation in water and tourism management in mountain areas.

Climate change adaptation in mountain areas

Based on a comparative analysis and stakeholder interviews, the study investigates five European mountain countries – Austria, Spain, Italy, Romania and Slovenia – and draws a comparison with the French case. It provides recommendations to stakeholders in mountain areas and policy makers at all levels, which are specific to the needs and challenges of these areas to enable better adaptation to climate change.

The publication is available in English and French.
