Submit a contribution to the IN SITU Conference on creative place-based innovation by 8 December

Send your paper or project proposal exploring place-based innovation and the transformative role of the creative and cultural sectors in rural and non-urban areas to the EU-funded IN SITU project and have it featured in the project conference of 11-13 May 2026.

Scholars, researchers, artists, cultural practitioners, activities, and policymakers from a variety of disciplines are invited to submit an original contribution to place-based innovation in the cultural sector by 8 December. Selected contributions will be featured in the upcoming IN SITU project conference ‘Culture Matters Here. Cultivating Creative Place-based Innovation in Non-urban Communities’ on 11-13 May 2026 – registration will open on 19 January 2026.

Participation of the wider Rural Pact Community andmembers of the Community Group on culture and creativity in rural areas is welcome

The IN SITU conference is open to innovative and sustainable examples from across Europe and around the world, with a particular focus on cultural and creative practices emerging from remote areas and peripheral regions of Europe.
