SEA4NEB project final event highlights the role of social economy in rural development

The social economy can often act faster and be more resilient than overloaded public administration; has a strong human aspect enabling its actors to work directly with local people; and is able to encourage local participation. The SEA4NEB project final event illustrated the potential of the social economy by showcasing good practices from territories regenerated according to the New European Bauhaus (NEB) principles, through a strong contribution of social economy.

Discover a range of resources developed or supported by the project, including:

  • Policy recommendations promoting effective partnerships between public institutions and social economy actors to amplify the NEB impact at local and European levels;
  • Local experiences from across Europe, applying the NEB principles of ‘beautiful’, ‘sustainable’, ‘together’ in partnership with social economy organisations;
  • Local Action Plans outlining social economy enterprises and their connection with local and regional NEB initiatives in Croatia, Latvia and Italy.
