New publication overviews initiatives to strengthen rural innovation and entrepreneurship
Produced by the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the report analyses public and private initiatives focused on attracting, training or retraining human capital and sets out key elements for their successes.

The publication reveals that all initiatives – selected for their sustainability, resilience, replicability, inclusivity, and cohesiveness – have been supported by urban-rural networks. Close collaboration with higher educational institutions, engagement with public institutions, and robust political support across different tiers of government are seen as main indicators for success.
