Under the headline ‘Strong rural areas in Germany and Europe: Requirements for the Common Agricultural and Cohesion Policies’ (6 December 2024 – online), the event reflected on the preparation for the upcoming CAP funding period. It provided a forum for exchange on possible future scenarios among rural development stakeholders.
The event highlighted two relevant papers for future discussion on the post-2027 period:
- ‘A position paper on the future of Cohesion and Agricultural Policies’; and
- ‘Key demands’ of the German association of counties, towns and municipalities, and the federal working group of LEADER Action Groups.
