Discover ‘Las Nieves’, the first community centre for elderly people in Cantabria, Spain! This innovative centre – emerging from a four-month co-creation process with 35 elderly residents of Campoo de Yuso (Cantabria) – aims to enhance the autonomy and quality of life of the elderly living in dispersed rural areas.

The 69 residents of the ‘Las Nieves’ multiservice community centre benefit from daily transport, shared community spaces, joint activities with other municipalities in the region, and quarterly co-management assemblies.
The centre resulted from a project led by the European Patronage of Senior Citizens Foundation (PEM) and the Campoo de Yuso municipality.
