Call for smart rural communities and services, deadline: 28 June

The Horizon-funded AURORAL project is seeking to fund initiatives that use digitalisation for improving rural areas in aspects such as economical growth and social wellbeing or for overcoming the digital divide between rural and urban areas.

The current open calls seek to fund new smart communities (up to EUR 74 000 per project) and services (up to EUR 55 200 per grant) or support existing ones – the deadline for submitting proposals is 28 June 2024.

The AURORAL project works to overcome the digital divide between rural and urban areas and to develop the potential of increased connectivity and digitalisation of rural areas. It focuses on increasing connectivity and delivering a digital environment of smart objects to trigger dynamic rural innovation chains, applications and services.
