With the Future Forum on Rural Development, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity has been providing a platform for discussion, knowledge transfer, and exchange on how to make rural areas attractive and sustainable. It addresses topics like economic, ecological, and social planning, balancing needs such as food and energy security, housing, nature conservation, and tackling challenges like vacant properties and skilled worker shortages.
Under the motto ‘Land: Space for the Future,’ the 19th Rural Development Forum will focus on the following topics:
- Land use – space in the sense of ‘area’
- Building use/construction – space in the sense of ‘building’
- Communication spaces, enabling spaces – space in the figurative sense
