The Policy Lab, organised by the EU-funded project EPIC-UP, will explore how urban-rural cooperation and collaborative governance can strengthen migrants’ long-term inclusion.
The event will bring together research, European initiatives, local experiences and insights from the EPIC-UP Communities of Practice to examine how connected territories and inclusive communities can support migrants in settling, participating, and building sustainable futures.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- exchange experiences, evidence and practices on how urban-rural cooperation can support sustainable migrant integration;
- explore governance approaches and cooperation mechanisms that strengthen coordination between urban and rural territories, different levels of administration and key actors involved in integration processes;
- identify challenges, opportunities and transferable solutions for improving access to services, strengthening community inclusion and supporting migrants’ long-term settlement in rural areas;
- co-create policy recommendations and practical insights that can inform European, national, regional and local approaches to migrant inclusion.
EPIC-UP is a project funded by the AMIF programme which aims to improve migrants’ integration and inclusion at local level by designing an enhanced model of multi-actor collaboration.
